Wrote up a quick tutorial/technique guide to making a new bone (say, I dunno, a canid's jawbone :P ) look old or fossilized. I used this technique for my own prop jawbone for my Lady Solas cosplay after much searching on leatherworking forums (it's apparently a technique used by knife makers who use bone for the handle a lot). It was pretty easy and actually cheaper/faster than sculpting it and painting it.  I already had most of the supplies (leather stain, applicators, varnish, etc) since we do a lot of leather working projects.

Hello!  Some of you might be arriving here because of our Gaslight Batman costume that was donated to Turbine.  Well, because I'm a developer on Infinite Crisis (and because the character design for the game is so incredible) we've done a lot of other Infinite Crisis cosplay!  You can check out Atomic Wonder Woman, Gaslight Catwoman, and Nightmare Superman.  We've also created a commission of Arcane Green Lantern.  We've designed our own variants of Hawkman and Hawkgirl (our personal favorites) in both Atomic (Hawkman/Hawkgirl) and Gaslight (Hawkman/Hawkgirl) flavors.  And, right now, we're in progress on Atomic Green Lantern and Arcane Zatanna for PAX East.  So follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on our latest IC cosplay, not to mention all of the other stuff we do!
