After moving down to Austin we started looking to see what kind of conventions were in the area.  We knew about PAX South and Wizard World Austin, but we wanted to hit up some smaller cons.  We learned about Hero Con and decided to check it out!  We wanted to make a good first impression with our fellow Austin cosplayers and con-goers, so we decided to go "all out" and wear our Atomic Wonder Woman and Atomic Green Lantern costumes.  The convention was tiny, but we still had fun.  We met a lot of cool people (including seeing an old coworker of mine, David Fielding AKA the original Zordon) and we might start getting active with Heroes Alliance's local chapter, that has cosplayers doing charitable work with kids.  All in all a fun afternoon out.
